Before SocialBee can post anything, it needs permission to reach your social profiles. This is the first step of setup and takes a couple of minutes per network.
Add an account
- Open SocialBee from your Client Area.
- Click Connect in the Getting started panel. You can also reach this any time from the profile menu in the top right, under Workspace > Social Accounts.
- Click Connect social account and pick your network.
- Sign in to that network in the window that opens and approve the permissions it asks for.
- Choose the specific page, profile or group you want to post to, then confirm.
Networks you can connect
Facebook, Instagram, Threads, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, Google Business Profile, Pinterest, X (Twitter) and Bluesky. There is also a Universal Posting option for networks not on the list, which sends you a reminder to post manually.
Business accounts
Instagram and Facebook need a Business or Creator account connected to a Facebook Page before they will allow direct posting. If a connection fails on a personal Instagram account, converting it to a Professional account in the Instagram app usually fixes it.
Reconnecting an account
Social networks expire their connections every few months. When that happens a Reconnect button appears next to the account on the Social Accounts page, and posts to it may fail until you click it.
- Go to Workspace > Social Accounts.
- Click Reconnect next to the account showing the prompt.
- Sign in again and approve the permissions.
Your scheduled posts and categories are untouched by reconnecting. It is worth checking this page every month or two.
Pausing an account
Each account has a Running toggle. Switch it off to stop posting to that profile without deleting it or losing its place in your schedule.
