Summary: This article explains what's in each Liberation reseller plan, including the cPanel and Imunify360 license tiers, what "account limit" means, and which plans include daily backups.
Every plan is a private VPS
Every reseller plan runs on its own private VPS. It is never a shared server. Each one includes:
- AlmaLinux 9 with cPanel & WHM and Imunify360 preinstalled
- Full root and WHM access
- A dedicated IPv4 address
- Hosting on Liberation-owned servers in Atlanta
- Private (white-label) nameservers, such as
ns1.yourbrand.com - Free migrations from other cPanel hosts, up to your account limit
- A domain reseller account
- 24/7 U.S.-based support by ticket

What "account limit" means
Your account limit is the number of cPanel accounts you can create on your server. Each cPanel account has its own login, files, databases, and resource limits. Most resellers give each client their own account.
- Accounts, not domains. One cPanel account can host several domains as addon domains. For security and clean billing, though, we recommend one account per client.
- Suspended accounts still count. A suspended account still exists on the server, so it counts toward your limit. Only terminating an account frees up a slot.
- Migrated accounts count. Accounts we migrate for you count toward the limit just like accounts you create yourself.
You can see how many accounts you have in WHM under Account Functions ยป List Accounts.
cPanel license tiers
The cPanel license on your server matches your plan's account limit:
- cPanel Admin (Launch) supports up to 5 accounts.
- cPanel Pro (Studio) supports up to 30 accounts.
- cPanel Premier (Agency, Agency Plus, Scale) supports your plan's full limit. Premier also unlocks cPanel's custom branding, so you can white-label the cPanel interface with your own logo.
We manage the license for you, and it is included in your plan price.
Imunify360 license tiers
Imunify360 provides firewall, malware scanning, and proactive PHP protection for every account on your server. Its license is sized by the number of users (cPanel accounts):
- Launch and Studio use the "up to 30 users" tier.
- Agency, Agency Plus, and Scale use the "up to 250 users" tier.
In both cases, the tier covers your plan's full account limit.
Backups by plan
- Studio and higher: Daily automated backups with 7-day retention are included.
- Launch: Backups are not included. You can add CodeGuard for automated website backups.
To restore from an included backup, open a support ticket. We also recommend keeping your own off-server copy of important sites. See Backups and Restores on Your Reseller VPS.
What's not included
- WHMCS: WHMCS is not included. You can use your own WHMCS license or bill clients any way you like.
- cPanel email mailboxes: We recommend running business email through Liberation Email / Hub for Teams instead of cPanel mailboxes.
How to upgrade
If you're close to your account limit or your server needs more resources, you can move to a larger plan. Open a ticket with the plan you want, and we'll schedule the change. See Upgrading or Downgrading Your Reseller Plan for what changes and how to prepare.
Still stuck? Open a ticket
Our U.S.-based support team is available 24/7. Open a support ticket from the Liberation Client Area and include your current plan and the plan you're considering. Tickets are private, so they are the safe place to share server details. Never post passwords in public forums or chats.
