Every VPS Hosting plan includes a Liberation Email account. This article explains how it's provisioned and how to get mailboxes set up.
How your email account is provisioned
When your VPS order completes, a Liberation Email platform account is created for you automatically — you don't need to buy or configure anything separately. It typically appears in your Client Area under Services within a few minutes to a few hours of your VPS going live.
Getting your mailboxes activated
Your Liberation Email account is the platform; actual mailbox capacity (how many individual inboxes you can create) is added by our team based on your plan tier shortly after signup. If your Liberation Email service is listed but you can't yet create mailboxes, this step just hasn't finished — open a support ticket referencing your VPS order and we'll activate it, usually same business day.
Once your mailboxes are active
- Log in to your Client Area and open your Liberation Email service.
- Create your first mailbox (for example, [email protected]).
- Add the DNS records shown in DNS records needed for Liberation Email / Hub for Teams so mail delivers correctly — this step is required even though the mailbox itself is already active.
- Set up your mail client using Device setup (IMAP/SMTP), or use Liberation's webmail.
