In this article, we will show you how to copy a website and make it available to other Sitejetters.
Basic Knowledge
There are two ways to make a website available to another user in Sitejet.
- Copy a website: As explained further in this article, you are able to create your own copy of your website. This gives you the opportunity to make your website, which you have created for a customer, for example, available.
- Full transfer of a website: When you like to move the entire website including content such as images and videos, with a transferyour website is removed from your account and linked to the new account. This method is recommended, for example, if a domain (registered with Sitejet) is connected to the website. Only the support team can carry out a complete transfer. You are able to find more information about this transfer in this article.
Copy and Share your website
The copy feature allows you to copy a website and share it with other Sitejetter. To do this, you are able to create a code and share it.
- Please log into the Website Builder of the page you want to copy.
- Open the burger menu at the top left for the settings in the Website Builder
- Another panel now opens under "Share & Copy Website". Here you are able to choose between "Share Website" and "Copy Website".
- Under "Share Website" you can create the code to share it with others. Did you receive a code for a website copy? Paste it into the field for "Copy Website".
- If you like to create a code for the copy, go to the drop-down menu under "Share Website". Here you will now see two options: "Perpetual" and "One-time".
- f you select "Perpetual", it is possible to use the code multiple times to copy websites. It becomes invalid when you create a new permanent code. If you select "One-time", a code is created that becomes invalid after copying. Click on "Generate new" when you have made a selection.
- Confirm the process now.
-
A new code has been generated now to share:
