How to make a domain visible on Google?

Add your domain to Google Search Console to make sure that users can find your website using Google Search.

Adding your domain to Google Search Google

  1. Go to Google Search Console and log in to your Google Account;
  2. If you have used Google Search Console before, click on the domain dropdown menu in the top-left corner and select "Add property";
  3. Enter your domain name in "Domain" option (example: example.com);
  4. Click "Continue";
  5. When prompted to verify domain ownership via DNS record, add a TXT record to your domain by following our "How to add/change DNS records for your domain?" FAQ article (only if you have purchase your at Liberation or if you are pointing to our nameservers);
  6. After adding the TXT record to your domain, click "Verify";
  7. If everything is done correctly, you should receive a message "Ownership verified".

Adding your domain's sitemap to Google Search Google

  1. Once you have added the domain, go to "Sitemaps" page in Google Search Console;
  2. In the "Add a new sitemap" section, add "sitemap.xml" to your domain and click "Submit" (example: https://example.com/sitemap.xml).

Once you have completed all steps, the domain and its sitemap are added to the Google Search Console. Depending on the website size, it may take a while before the domain becomes visible in Google Search.
